Last Wednesday I decided it would be fun to paint some of the cabinets in our kitchen with chalkboard paint so that the kids could play while I cook. So after school the kids and I went to Home Depot and bought the necessary items and got to work. Bill took Jake to his parents so that we wouldn't have his little helping hands in the mix. Then we taped up the cabinets and put on our primer coat, went out to eat dinner and then came back to finish up. I'm really happy with the way they came out and the kids are really having fun with them.

Oh that is just a neat idea!
WOW - What a GREAT idea.
I am going to keep this in mind for when we buy a home.
THANKS.
May I make a suggestion if you decide to do this elsewhere in the house as well? You can also get magnetic primer. Use that and the chalkboard paint, and you have magnetic chalkboard cabinets.
I like the way you did the center of each door. It looks great, and I'll bet the kids are loving it!
We did this on some upper tile in my old kitchen before I had my daughter. I never even thought of this!! I HAVE to do it in my new kitchen!! Thanks so much for the idea.
